Help sustain and improve Garner State Park by joining Friends of Garner.


The cost for the whole family is $35 per calendar year. 

Sign up as early as September1st for the next two years' membership.

Sign up for multiple years membership if you wish.

Volunteering

Volunteers keep this park going. Consider helping. Here's what you can do as a volunteer:

  1. Assist management and visitors at the Friends of Garner Visitor Center. 
  2. Be part of Friends of Garner as a future board member or officer. 
  3. Assist in filling and/or collecting monies from vending machines. 
  4. Assisting recycling efforts, trailering cans to recycler. 
  5. Maintaining our bird blinds and bird feeders. 
  6. Trail maintenance, removing growth, signage, path repairs. 
  7. Enable hayrides as a narrator or tractor driver. 
  8. Be a trail guide. 
  9. Share 1960’s or another decade's dance lessons. 
  10. Maintaining our FOG nature garden, playground, and recreation areas. 
  11. Collecting donations boxes. 
  12. Helping with Dark Skies certification, education, sky parties. 
  13. Help maintaining the friendsofgarner.org website and/or Facebook page. 
  14. Help on the Friends of Garner membership committee. 
  15. Assisting our Park Interpretive Ranger and park hosts with park programs and events. 
  16. Pick up litter on our highway, roads, trails, and river.
